WHY PURE 100 LEUCINE

Leucine, isoleucine and valine, the Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAA), make up about one-third of muscle protein. Of these, leucine has been the most thoroughly investigated because its oxidation rate is higher than that of isoleucine or valine. Of all nutrients, leucine possesses the most marked anabolic characteristics in acting as a trigger element for the initiation of protein synthesis. Leucine has been indicated as the sole stimulator of protein synthesis. Leucine also seems to have both insulin-dependent and insulin independent mechanisms for promoting protein synthesis. Approximately 3 to 4 g of additional leucine per day is required to promote maximal protein synthesis, and especially in power-trained athletes.

  • 3 times daily.

Directions :
Take 2-3 capsules three times daily. 
ƒƒCombine with a high quality protein drink (also incl. essential amino acids like leucine), containing some fast-acting maltodextrin or dextrose (e.g. USN Muscle Fuel STS), as leucine cannot modulate protein synthesis as effectively without the presence of insulin.
ƒƒThe consumption of essential amino acids like leucine, and dextrose appears to be most effective at evoking protein synthesis prior to rather than following resistance exercise.
ƒƒTo further enhance muscle hypertrophy and strength, a resistance weight-training program of at least 10–12 weeks, 3–5 days per week, should be followed.
